Teachers at Colchester Dance School

Principle teacher Tim Emms is a highly qualified IDTA and UKA teacher and has been teaching for over 20 years. Tim started at the famous Dennis Drew dance studio in Manor Park, London and has been a finalist in many dance competitions including the open ten dance. Tim has an Honorary Degree with the Associated Board of Dance.

Penny Welton is a trainee dance teacher, who is currently working her way through the ISTD teaching syllabus. Penny has been dancing for more than 10 years, and is currently competing nationally at famous venues such as Blackpool's Tower Ballroom and Winter Gardens, winning double British Champion in 2015. Penny has been lucky enough to work alongside professional dancers from BBC's Strictly Come Dancing, and other world champions. Penny is available for private dance lessons every Thursday and Saturday afternoons.

Holly started dancing at the age of 5. She did exams in tap, ballet and modern and enjoyed performing in shows produced by her dance school for many years. As an adult, she got involved with amateur dramatic groups in Colchester, Clacton and Witham with her most enjoyable roles being Aladdin and the scarecrow in The Wizard of Oz.

Donna Sellors is a trainee dance teacher and is working her way through the teaching syllabus with the UKA. Donna has been dancing for 2 years and would like to take up teaching full time as soon as she has passed her teaching exams.
